Hi, I’m Lu. Nice to meet you!
My journey to becoming a UX researcher has been anything but linear, but every step along the way has deepened my passion for understanding human behavior and designing meaningful experiences. With an academic background in psychology, I began my career as a behavioral interventionist, working closely with children with autism. This role required me to deeply understand each child’s motivations and needs, especially when addressing problem behaviors.
Then I stumbled across human-centered design, and I was captivated by how this field bridges human experiences with technology and services, creating innovative and impactful solutions. Learning about the field, I knew I had discovered my dream job.
Today, as a mixed-methods researcher, I draw on my background to shape products and services that truly resonate with people.

-
Traveling and experiencing culture
I spent a summer in Nancite, Costa Rica, and volunteered for sea turtle conservation. It was a month of living away from accessible water and electronics but rewarding friendships and life experiences.
We were just chatting, playing Ukulele, and waiting for the sunset

Creating and sharing moments in life
I casually create travel vlogs to preserve travel memories for my future self.

Spending time with the fluffy
Introducing Chongchong, which means “little one” in Chinese. He got his name from the way he slept. When I am not traveling, we go on walks and parks.
